Summary: Public Corporation of Social Welfare may sound like something you'd get money from when you are unemployed, but here in Gunslinger Girl, it is an organization that takes young girls from hospitals and uses them to carry out assassination protocols. These girls are initially brain washed, cybernetically enhanced, and trained until they become unstoppable killing machines. They are like wolves in a sheep's clothing. Monitored constantly, these new assassins are assigned "brothers" that train them. Most brothers treat their trainees like expandable machines, but the newest girl was lucky. Her name is Henrietta, and she is paired up with an also new brother, Josie. Instead of treating Henrietta like a killing machine, he treats her like his own daughter. And thus their interesting, and somewhat sad journey continues on as these girl live their lives as gunslinger girls.
